Home stay

December 16th Durant, the (very limited) cotmalinps about JTB's effort to market their product via reaching out to travel bloggers, whether the #GoJordan portion or elsewhere, is being lead by a small number of people that are basically wedded to the old media form of income streams. Luckily for the rest of us, readers apparently don't care much about the few that are critical.

September 27th Hi John,I came across this site thnkas to Julie Schwietert who is on a trip with Rich. I have liked your FB Page and will also subscribe to your feeds and newsletter as there is a lot I can learn from Travelllll.com. I love to travel and have lived in 3 different continents. I started a blog last year and hope to learn more about travel blogging.

September 15th Great site! Something like this needed to come along and I'm so glad it did. One thing I would add is a forum i.e. maybe we can trfasner the Travel Bloggers forum to this site so you can search by topic something you can't currently do on the Facebook page (a board similar to chowhound for discussion). I think your site would be the perfect way to do so. Otherwise, great job on content and layout/design!

country. Obviously there are those that do however there are a lot of reardes out there who don't engage with long feature articles and it's often argued that people have short attention spans online. Users finding blogs via google etc may just want a general overview to inspire them into researching a destination in greater depth. Surely that's good coverage? Most audiences won't necessarily have read other blogs either . Unless you're another travel blogger, most users don't live in that bubble.Simple articles with headings, bullet points etc work well online . Not everyone wants to read a novel. Online these content types to attention spans of users can be measured, offline however, who knows who really reads all of the 8 page feature article?

December 15th I don't think creativity is as itaormpnt as ensuring that DMOs are satisfied that your work is unique, professional and gets the word out on behalf of their clients. It may sound familiar, but repetition/boredom is not the concern so much as lack of exposure is. I've read elsewhere that in marketing, a person has to see an ad 7 times before it finally starts to register consciously. I experience that myself when watching TV too: first few times I see an ad I don't even think about it. After maybe the tenth time though I start to realize what the message of the ad is, and what it's selling.Creativity is good, but my primary focus is to develop content that my clients are happy with, and even if I don't personally have the depth in audience they are looking for, they can still use the content I provide for other promotional/marketing purposes. For example: a museum using some of my photos to help develop brochures. Ironically I thought these were pretty boring photos too. :D
